About

I am a first-year PhD student at Université de Montréal studying treatment-resistant schizophrenia.
I began my academic journey at Université de Montréal, where I completed a Bachelor of Science in Psychology in 2024. I then pursued a Master’s degree in Psychiatric Sciences and Addictology under the supervision of Dr. Stéphane Potvin and Dr. Emmanuel Stip. My master’s research focused on subjective cognitive complaints in schizophrenia, examining their relationship with objective cognitive performance, depressive symptoms, and clinical insight through a systematic review and meta-analysis.
I am now pursuing my PhD, continuing under the supervision of Dr. Potvin and Dr. Stip. Broadly, my research focuses on schizophrenia and psychosis, particularly treatment-resistant symptoms, cognition, and the development and evaluation of novel therapeutic approaches.
My current work includes neuromodulation and repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation (rTMS) for treatment-resistant auditory verbal hallucinations, as well as projects involving treatment-resistant schizophrenia, clozapine, cognition, and psychiatric neuroscience.
My developing research interests also extend to forensic psychiatry, particularly the neurobiological and clinical mechanisms underlying violence and severe mental illness, risk assessment, and the intersection of psychiatry and the law. I am also interested in understanding mental health and cognition in isolated and extreme environments.
Through my work, I hope to contribute to a better understanding of severe mental illness and to the development of more effective, personalized approaches to psychiatric assessment and treatment.
